What is pasteurization?

The process of pasteurization is used in the dairy and food industries for microbial control and preservation of the food consumed, such as milk, dairy products, beer, juices, soft drinks, etc.
Unlike sterilization, pasteurization is not intended to kill all micro-organisms in the food. Instead, it aims to reduce the number of pathogens. Plate heat exchangers are used for pasteurization process.
